Online Application available TNPSC Assistant Jailor BA/BSc/BCom 2016. Do you have the aim to be a Jailor in Prison Department Tamil Nadu? Good news for you! The online application for the Assistant Jailor is available from yesterday. If you have hold any one of the following degree BA/BSc/BCom then you are eligible to apply for the Assistant Jailor post. However the degree should be done as follows 10+2+3 years. The last date for submitting online will be on 8th April 2016. One of the selection process is the Main Written exam which is scheduled on 24th July 2016. 

There will be two papers in the exam. The first paper will be held in the morning session whereas the second paper will be held in the noon session. The time duration for each paper will be three hours. The total number of questions will be 200 for each paper. All the questions will be in the objective type. All the questions except questions from general Tamil/English will be in degree standard. The questions from general Tamil or English will be in SSLC standard. 

Selection Process:

I Written Exam: Two papers

Topics of the first paper:

1. Constitution and Human Rights
2. Administration of Union and States with
special reference to Tamil Nadu
3. Socio – Economic issues in India /
Tamil Nadu
4. Current issues at National Level
5. Current issues at State Level

Topics of the second paper:

1. General Studies : 75 mcqs
2. Aptitude and Mental Ability Test : 25 mcqs
3. General Tamil / General English :100 mcqs

II Oral Test ie Interview:

The marks allotted for Interview and Record is 80

The minimum qualifying marks for selection is 272 for others and 204 for SC/ST/BC/MBC, etc. Total marks for each paper is 300 and that for interview is 80. The whole marks for the selection is 680.
